You will need a Phillips head screwdriver and a mallet if replacing the left side door gasket.
3
Before you begin the procedure, unplug the appliance's power cord.
4
If you're replacing the left side refrigerator door gasket, first use the Phillips head screwdriver to unthread the two screws securing the center flapper hinge.
5
Use the mallet to tap the bottom of the flapper to help detach.
6
Pull the wire harnesses out of the liner and depress the tabs to disconnect the two wire harness connectors to fully remove the flapper.
7
Now, starting at a corner, pull the old gasket free of the liner.
8
Before you install the new door gasket, you may need to lay it out on a flat, sturdy surface for up to 24 hours to help the gasket regain its original form.
9
Keeping the tabs facing the inside edge of the door, insert the new gasket into the channel on the liner and press firmly.
10
Keep in mind, you can use a hair dryer set on low to help remove any kinks from the material to ensure that the refrigerator door seals properly.
11
If required, reinstall the flapper by first connecting the two wire connectors, push the wire harnesses into the inner liner, then align the upper and lower hinges on the liner mounting posts and slide the flapper down.
12
Re-thread the two screws to secure the center hinge.
13
Plug the power cord back in, and the refrigerator should be ready for use.
