Hotpoint Washer won't agitate
If your Hotpoint washer won't agitate, the agitator repair kit is the most likely problem. Worn, stripped, or damaged agitator components can keep the agitator from moving even when the washer fills and runs. If the agitator repair kit looks good, inspect the drive block or bell, which connects the transmission shaft to the agitator. A worn drive block may allow the transmission to move while the agitator barely moves or does not move at all. Next, check the lid switch assembly. On some Hotpoint top-load models, a failed lid switch prevents both agitation and spinning.
