Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the outer door window assembly on your washer…

…be sure to unplug the power cord.

Open the washer door and support it…

…as you use a number two square bit or a phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the four screws securing the door to the hinge.

Detach the door…

…and set it on a towel or blanket.

Now unthread the mounting screws securing the door strike.

Remove the strike.

Next, remove the two screws securing the door strike cover.

Use a small flat-head screwdriver to help pry the cover off.

Now unthread the screws securing the top and bottom glass supports.

Pry the supports off.

Lift out the inner door glass.

Prepare the new outer door window assembly for installation…

…by first removing the protective covering.

Next, transfer the push indicator from the old assembly to the new one.

Transfer the trim piece as well to the opposite side.

Reinstall the inner door glass by aligning the indicator tabs with the door frame.

Replace both glass supports…

…and thread the screws to secure.

Realign the door strike cover on the door frame and snap it into place.

Secure it with the screws.

Realign the door strike then thread the mounting screws to secure.

Realign the washer door on the hinge…

…then thread and tighten the screws.

With the repair completed…

…plug the power cord back in…
