As with any repair, be sure you unplug the appliance before beginning.

Depending on which shock absorber you're replacing, you will either remove the front lower access panel by uninstalling the mounting screws and pulling the panel down and away, or remove the main rear panel.
3
When removing the rear panel, you may first need to remove the cabinet plugs by lifting and sliding them out.
4
Now, remove the mounting screws securing the rear panel and slide the panel down and out.
5
Your next step is to use pliers to rotate the top shock mount 90 degrees to release it from the tub.
6
Now, rotate the bottom shock mount 90 degrees and remove it from the slot in the base.
7
Install the new shock absorber by inserting the bottom shock mount post into the slot in the base and rotate 90 degrees to secure.
8
Now, insert the top shock mount post into the slot in the tub and rotate 90 degrees to lock it into place.
9
If applicable, reposition the front lower access panel and secure the screws or slide the rear panel up into position and secure it with the mounting screws.
10
Snap in the cabinet plugs if available.
